Obituary
George Edward Cook, Sr was born on February 20, 1948 in Bessemer, Alabama to John W and Merlyne Gates Cook. Affectionately known as Boo Boo growing up by all his family and friends.
He was educated in Bessemer City School system. He graduated from G. W. Carver High School in 1966.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife Sarah Rodgers Cook, parents John W and Merlyne Cook, two brothers Harold Cook and Livingston Grant, two sisters Jacqueline Richardson and Beverly Ann Andrews, two sons Robertson and George E Cook Jr.
His motto was he had a blended family that is blended by love. To cherish his memories showing blended love are his children Shawn Phillips, Kelley Burnett (Derrick), Daniel Walker (Scarlett), Helena Powe Young (Barry), Erica Hugley, Shakitia Harris (Eddie), Etwan Nelson (Robert), Jaquetta Johnson, Ray Johnson siblings Bernard Cook (Mary), Cheryl Kirkland (Lawrence), Gloria Cook, Ernestine Cook. A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. One special blended daughter Trinetta Brooks.
